Incentive Pay: How rewards can drive innovation (Online)

Innovation is the life blood of company success in an increasingly competitive world. However, developing new ideas that a company can turn into a profitable product or service is never easy. Bringing a product or service to market faster and cheaper requires continuous innovation that only highly committed employees can deliver. At this NOCA event we look at how we can use incentive structures to secure innovation, commitment, and engagement.

Incentive pay - NOCA

Join us for this NOCA-event, where you will meet Dr. Dow Scott, an American professor of Human Resources from Loyola University, Chicago. Dr. Scott will lead the talk on how companies can reward its employees for innovation and what methods to use to give employees incentive to be innovative. You will also meet Keld Nielsen, who will give insight into how Novo Nordisk has transformed its way of looking at performance and rewards. And Henriette Boisen, VP, Head of Rewards at A.P. Møller-Mærsk, who will provide insights into how to secure an incentive structure aligned to the organizations vision and values.

Some of the points that we will cover:

  • How to align incentive structures to the organization’s strategy, vision and values.
  • What reward programs have proven be to particularly effective in promoting innovation?
  • The prerequisites for successful implementation of implement incentive programs.

Dr. Kenneth Dow Scott - NOCADr. Kenneth Dow Scott, Ph.D., is a professor of human resources at Loyola University, Chicago, and president of Performance Development International Inc. Scott is nationally recognized as a thought leader in compensation and HR program evaluation. He has more than 100 publications and his current research focuses on rewards and human resources programs that drive innovation, productivity improvement and fairness. 

Before following an academic career, Scott held several HR positions at B.F. Goodrich Co. He obtained his master’s degree and Ph.D. from the School of Human Resources and Employment Relations at Michigan State University.

Keld Nielsen - NOCA

Keld Nielsen, Director HQ & Global Business Services Rewards, Novo Nordisk

Keld has over 20 years of experience within HR – both from consulting and company practice. 14 of which he has spent working with rewards at Novo Nordisk. He is currently leading a team of rewards specialists to deliver rewards design, partnering, advise, capability building and communication globally either directly or in partnership with local rewards partners to more than 28,000 employees across all non-sales functions (R&D, Production and Support functions) in 4 EVP areas.

Keld will, at this event, discuss how Novo Nordisk has transformed its way of looking at performance and rewards from traditional performance management and rewards programs towards performance leadership with rewards supporting company growth, manager empowerment as well as agility, simplicity and innovation.

Henriette Boisen - NOCA

Henriette Boisen, VP, Head of Rewards at A.P. Møller-Mærsk

Henriette has 20 years’ experience working with compensation and benefits in multinational companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Coloplast and A.P. Møller Mærsk. At this NOCA event Henriette will provide insights into how to secure an incentive structure aligned to the organizations vision and values. What are the key questions when developing your pay structure? And how do we identify and implement the right solutions for our organizations?
