29. September 2020
kl. 09.00 - 11.00

Our society has changed significantly over the last decades. We are becoming more educated and our career is becoming a dominant factor in our lives. In todays society balancing the demands of one’s own career as well as one’s partner’s while trying to nourish a relationship and family can seem a constant struggle. What can you do to overcome these obstacles in your own life? and how can organizations best support dual career couples?Work love balance - NOCA

Managing dual-career interests

High potentials are increasingly committed to their partners’ careers as well as their own, but most companies haven’t figured out how to accommodate that commitment. They invest heavily in grooming star performers for leadership roles, only to have them resign when confronted with flexibility and mobility challenges. This has an effect on both recruitment and retention.

At this NOCA event you will have the pleasure of meeting our keynote speaker Jennifer Petriglieri, who is an award-winning researcher and Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD. Petriglieri will at the event talk about Talent Management and the Dual-Career Couple.

Petriglieri will, based on her research, share her perspectives on how couples can tackle challenges regarding career throughout their lives together. Besides, Petriglieri will also talk about how organizations can work best with dual-career couples without losing talent and accessing a new/better talent pool for themselves.

The book

In Couples That Work, Professor Jennifer Petriglieri reveals how all couples can thrive in work and love at the same time. Petriglieri has spent the last six years studying over a hundred couples in a variety of roles and types of relationships from all over the world.
