Code of Conduct & Whistleblower
The March 22 let's meet for a true NOCA day at Norrbom Vinding. Here you will have the opportunity to look into the challenges and not least the legal aspects with the Code of Conduct and Whistleblower schemes.
A company's "Code of Conduct" is a set of ethical and legal rules for what the company expects from itself and its stakeholders, including the employees. Many companies have already formulated a Code of Conduct, but how do you work with this area in practice so that it really creates value?:
- What does the legislation say and what dilemmas are there in relation to Danish/international legislation?
- How do we ensure that the Code of Conduct is up-to-date and relevant?
- Which areas should the Code of Conduct relate to?
- How do we change the Code of Conduct?
- How is such an arrangement communicated and supervised?
- What is the risk if we do not have a scheme or it is not up to date?
Whistleblower schemes are an area that is under great development and attention in Denmark, and Danish companies are increasingly becoming aware of the advantages that such a scheme entails. In an increasing number of areas, whistleblower schemes are becoming mandatory by law. A whistleblower scheme can be an appropriate tool to improve the possibilities of reporting serious wrongdoing or suspicions of it, but how do you go about it and what should you pay special attention to?
- What should the scheme cover and who should it include?
- Anonymity – is it possible? – is it appropriate?
- What can we use the scheme for? And what can we definitely not use the scheme for?
- How do we handle reports?
- How do we set up the scheme in practice? Should it be registered?
- How do we introduce the scheme and how do we communicate it to the employees?
- Do we need to pay special attention if the company has international operations?
