Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Day 2024
Succeeding with DEI in Turbulent Times
Join our DEI Day 2024. This conference is designed to explore the current state of DEI as well as inspire you to succeed as an HR professional with the most important topics on the DEI agenda within organizations.
Conference themes
- Status on the DEI landscape and various perspectives on DEI
- Ways to foster more inclusive organizations with a focus on neurodiversity, employee experience and cultural intelligence.
- How to gain and maintain momentum for DEI initiatives, also in the face of resistance.
In recent years, there has been a heightened focus on the war for talent, inequality in the workplace and the social responsibility of organisations. This focus is now a part of the agenda for most CEOs and boards because DEI plays a key role as a business and societal driver for holistically successful organizations and societies.
Despite DEI being an imperative, there are notable challenges to DEI professionals including resource restraints and pushback from certain segments in the organization and from the outside, making the need for effective strategies, network and knowledge sharing even more critical for DEI professionals.
Conference Highlights
- Keynote Addresses:
- Learn from Sara Louise Muhr, Professor of Diversity & Leadership at CBS, who will share her insights on the state of DEI today, the pushback it faces, and how organizations and society are responding and where we might be heading.
- Get insights from Pernille Fritz Vilhelmsen, Chief People & Culture Officer and Executive Vice President of People & Culture, Hempel on what inclusive leadership means in Hempel and how this can drive culture and performance. She will also reflect on her own leadership style and her journey of getting to where she is today.
- Be inspired by Stine Marsal, CX Expert, D&I Advocate and former Nordic Regional Director in Hidden Disabilities Sunflower (“The Sunflower Programme”) who will use thought-provoking examples from her own career. Stine will illustrate how a lack of understanding of customer diversity negatively impacts employee interactions, leading to lost revenue or reduced efficiency. Through interviews with individuals from the past five years, including those with disabilities and from the LGBT+ segment, she reveals hidden barriers and offers practical solutions and initial steps to ensure employees can come to work and perform optimally.
- Learn from Signe Ørom, PhD in language and culture, CEO of the consultancy ConnectingCultures and Mikkel Orlovski, Principal Consultant and Associate Partner at ConnectingCultures, how to develop cultural intelligence, especially in international companies, to overcome cultural barriers and unleash more of the hidden potential for employee engagement and innovation.
