Hormones at work – Strengthen the work environment with a focus on menopause
Many women will experience hormonal problems associated with menopause at some point in their lives, and some are affected so severely that it affects their working life. As a workplace, you can create a framework and working environment that ensures fewer sick days and higher well-being, despite hot flashes, lack of sleep at night and mood swings.
Menopause is not just a private matter. For many, it also affects energy, sleep, concentration and well-being in working life. Therefore, it is relevant to take the topic seriously in the workplace.
At this event, we focus on how organizations can create a more inclusive and sustainable work environment for employees who experience hormonal disorders in the period leading up to and after menopause. It is about well-being, retention and creating better frameworks for a good working life.
In the presentation, we delve into why menopause is also a work environment issue, and what workplaces can specifically do to meet employees with understanding and action.
We will take a closer look at, among other things:
- why menopause is relevant to talk about in working life
- hormonal symptoms, including symptoms that may resemble stress
- what consequences the genes can have for both the individual and the workplace
- what managers, HR and colleagues can specifically do to support better
