Paths to diversity in gender-biased professions
At a time when diversity, inclusion and equality have taken on an important and visible role in Danish and international organisations, particularly large Danish companies within male-dominated professions face a large and complex challenge.
Male-dominated occupations range widely and include areas such as construction, offshore oil and gas, engineering companies, energy supply and technical industries, but also the consulting and advisory area, where e.g. women are still underrepresented today.
Here it is not only about creating more attractive workplaces through a more appropriate distribution between the sexes, but also looking at other dimensions of diversity such as nationality, generation, language, professionalism and level of education.
In this webinar, Bobby Bovell, Partner and Chief Consultant within DEI at Living Institute, and Thomas Mejlgård, EVP and CHRO at Flex Wind, will talk about:
- Diversity in Denmark and in a global context
- Challenges and solutions for gendered workplaces with a male-dominated company like Semco Maritime as a case
- DEIB's potential to promote well-being, development and innovation
There is a growing awareness of the importance of creating more diversity in these professions for several reasons:
- Higher productivity, morale and employee satisfaction
- More innovation
- More justice, equality and equity (legal and moral)
- Attract and connect talent
- Reflect the surrounding society
Take part in this webinar to find out how you and your organization can work to create work environments where employees feel more comfortable, contribute and feel that they belong, regardless of their gender, background or identity.
