The Future of Work & Organization Day
The future of work is already here – but are our organizations designed for it?
Work is changing faster than most organizations can adapt – the future of work is here. New technologies, evolving expectations and shifting ways of collaborating are reshaping not only what we do, but how work is organised, designed and managed.
The Future of Work & Organization Day brings together HR and People professionals to explore how work and organizations are being redesigned in practice. The conference focuses on the intersection of technology, work and organization – and on the role HR plays in turning technological potential into everyday working reality.
Through keynotes, cases, workshops and discussions, the day will examine how organizations can design work that is adaptive, effective and human-centred – and how HR can move from supporting work to actively shaping how it works.
As technology reshapes tasks, roles and collaboration, the way work is organized becomes a critical design choice. This is a day fully focused on the future of work and organization from an inside-out perspective, highlighting how HR/People is the enabler of shaping work and integrating AI responsibly.
What this conference will highlight:
- How AI and other technologies are reshaping work at task, role and workflow level
- What it takes to design organizations that can adapt to continuous change
- The balance between human automation, human judgment and collaboration with new technologies
- HR and People Management's evolving role as a designer of work – not just a supporter of processes
- Real-world cases illustrating how organizations are re-designing work in practice
- And much more...
Conference highlights will be updated as soon as speakers are booked. Stay tuned!

Keynote: From Global Trends to Nordic Reality: The State of HR, AI and Work
By Hope Mears Østgaard (CatalystOne) and Mathias Makedonski (Boston Consulting Group)
HR is facing rising expectations: to drive business value, lead AI and digital transformation, and shape how work is designed and organized. But while ambition is clear, reality is often more complex. In this opening session, Boston Consulting Group and CatalystOne combine insights from two major reports – Creating People Advantage 2026 and The Nordic HR Trends and Tech Report 2025/26 – to explore where organizations actually stand today.
Bringing together a global perspective and Nordic realities, this session will examine how organizations are working with eg, AI adoption, workforce transformation and the impact of HR in decision making – highlighting current maturity, key gaps and emerging priorities. Through an interactive format, this session sets the stage for the day by offering a shared understanding of where HR stands today – and what to focus on moving forward.
Keynote: Leading through Uncertainty
By Nathan Furr, Professor of Strategy at INSEAD Business School
Great leaders are courageous in the face of uncertainty. But few of us are given tools for navigating the unknown, and so we miss our leadership potential. In this session we explore the findings from dozens of interviews and empirical research on the tools to develop uncertainty ability, or the ability to face uncertainty with courage and resilience so we can discover the possibilities hidden within it.
Nathan will explore four categories of tools for building uncertainty ability:
- Reframe uncertainty from something frightening to the source of possibility
- Prime by understanding your natural uncertainty strengths and weaknesses
- Do by applying the tools used by innovators to learn and adapt in the fog of the unknown
- Sustain yourself when things go differently than expected
Case Presentation: How NRK is systematically re-designing work while still transforming
By Olav Peter Hypher, Director of Organization & Sustainability at NRK
At NRK, a large-scale transformation is underway – not driven by technology alone, but by a fundamental re-design of how work is done. Rather than focusing on implementing AI tools or upskilling employees in isolation, NRK is systematically re-engineering core work processes to unlock the real value of new technologies. This includes redefining roles, enabling cross-functional collaboration and integrating AI directly into how work gets done. In this session, Olav Peter Hypher shares how NRK is approaching this challenge in practice. Through rapid, one-week “process sprints” inspired by design thinking, cross-functional teams are re-designing workflows, identifying new roles and embedding AI into everyday operations. Drawing on experiences from a transformation that is still in progress, Olav will share his reflections on what it takes to move from technological ambition to real organizational change.
Panel Discussion: Four Perspectives on How Work is Changing in Practice – Across Industries and Realities

Keynote: AI, Digital Twins and the Next Geography of Work
By Prithviraj Choudhury, Professor in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science
AI is rapidly reshaping not only how we work, but where work can happen. In this keynote, Prithwiraj Choudhury explores how technologies such as AI agents, automation, and digital twins are transforming jobs, organizations, and talent strategies. Drawing on research across industries – from power plants to global tech companies – he examines how work is being redesigned, how employees are reskilled, and how organizations can rethink the role of humans alongside AI. These shifts point to a new wave of "work from anywhere," where both knowledge work and operational work can increasingly be coordinated digitally.
Workshop: Redesigning Jobs in the Age of AI
By Prithviraj Choudhury, Professor in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science
As AI increasingly becomes part of everyday work, organizations face a fundamental question: Which parts of our jobs should humans do – and which can be supported or automated by AI? In this workshop session, Prithwiraj Choudhury will guide you through a practical framework, giving you the opportunity to break down your own role into key tasks and explore whether or not AI might substitute your work.
