In addition, half of the activities were facilitated in English to meet the increasing demand from internationally oriented members.

2021: Establishment of Advisory Boards

2021 marked the establishment of the first of many Advisory Boards. These boards were created to form strong professional networks among top and ambitious HR managers and specialists in all key HR and People areas. The goal was to ensure access to key professional discussions, which enabled the association to support its members with relevant knowledge, activities and presenters.

2019: New management and restart

In January 2019, Ulrik S. Brix became the new director. Together with the board and Marie Louise, the only employee in the secretariat, it was concluded that NOCA needed a restart. With only 60 members remaining, all of whom wanted fundamental changes, the organization began a journey towards redefining its value proposition.

2018: Organizational challenges

In 2018, NOCA faced significant challenges when several key members left the association. The board launched a thorough evaluation that asked questions about how NOCA could create value for its members in the future. This evaluation marked the beginning of a transformation process.

2012: 10-year anniversary and change of management

NOCA celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2012. George Greibe stepped down as director and was succeeded by Per Geisler Hansen.

2005: Introduction of theme groups

NOCA introduced “thematic groups” in 2005, focusing on “Talent Management,” and began organizing study tours in Europe, with the first to INSEAD in France.

2004: Launch of international membership tours

NOCA organized its first membership trip to the Academy of Management Annual Conference in the United States, a tradition that became an annual event due to high demand.
