Accessibility and inclusion: Ørsted’s Toolbox

How can we create a workplace that is inclusive and accessible for everyone?

Accessibility creates value for everyone – including your employees and colleagues. But how do we ensure that the workplace is inclusive, physically, mentally and digitally? And how do we prepare for the upcoming accessibility requirements?

In 2022, the Accessibility Act was passed in Denmark, which aims to implement and enforce the EU Accessibility Directive. And by June 2025, these regulations must be met. Many companies have already taken initiatives to increase accessibility in their organizations, both physically, mentally and digitally.

Ørsted is one of these organizations. They have developed an Accessibility Toolkit that brings together knowledge, practical guides and technological tools to support a more inclusive and accessible workplace. A toolkit that all employees can access whenever they need it.

Accessibility is a key aspect to fostering a global, inclusive, and effective organization with best-in-class diverse talent. To succeed, we must create a barrier-free, sustainable, and inclusive workplace. – Ørsted’s Accessibility Toolbox

The toolbox is designed to make it as easy as possible for the entire organization to create inclusion and accessibility with tools for everything from language and technology accessibility to the physical environment and global diversity policies. At the same time, it helps to create consistent accessibility processes in all parts of the organization.

On this webinar, you will learn about:

  • What Ørsted’s accessibility toolbox contains and how it’s used for physical, mental and digital accessibility
  • The purpose of developing and applying this toolbox
  • How employees can actively use the toolbox
  • The EU Accessibility Directive and the upcoming requirements in Danish legislation
  • How the toolbox was launched, received and further developed

We’re joined by Anna Beidelman, Development Consultant at Ørsted. She has played a key role in creating and launching Ørsted’s Accessibility Toolbox and overall developing Ørsted as an accessible and inclusive organization.
