Exploring Work Identity
How is work identity impacting our behavior, well-being, and success?
We invite you to join our 2-hour journey into the fascinating historical development of work identity and its current impact on the workplace. The webinar is based on the coming book, “Work Identity: A Neurophilosophical Perspective”.
A significant number of employees now struggle with disengagement, diminished performance, work-related stress, anxiety, depression, and illness. Shockingly, statistics reveal that 80% of employees are no longer engaged in their work, while 44% experience work-related stress and its detrimental effects.
In his counter-trend book, Billy Adamsen critically examines the current state of work identity, where the encouragement of authenticity, he argues, has had unintended negative consequences. Moreover, the book sheds light on the increasing amount of time spent interpreting managers’ and colleagues’ language in the workplace, leading to confusion and inefficiency.
Drawing on a neurophilosophical framework, Adamsen offers a thought-provoking explanation for the negative repercussions on our lives of losing our work identity.
This webinar provides valuable insights and tools for managers and HR professionals working with talent acquisition, people & organizational development, and well-being in organizations.
