Business is currently fragmented into a massive digital tornado that revolutionizes how businesses operate. The so-called digital revolution is characterized by unrestricted digitization of businesses and the escalation of e-commerce as the new generation of Internet users becomes even more mobile and interacting. But even though digitalization is so important, how do companies ensure that they are still capable of sustaining the good old face-to-face learning in leadership development?

A good example of this is Novozymes, who in 2018 launched a new delivery approach to leadership development through blended learning. This approach enables the company to provide globally available, on-demand and scalable development for both new and experienced leaders. This is done digitally through an app that guides leaders through a mix of activities in a truly blended learning format.

Each leader goes through a personalized several months distributed learning path mixing different digital bite-sized elements with job tasks, social learning and face to face training. The purpose of the learning path is to ensure that all leaders in Novozymes develop the core leadership skills needed to match the Novozymes values ​​and drive Apple - Purchased imageemployee engagement and performance in daily life. The set-up is also designed to support new leaders with their transition into their new roles and helps them become successful leaders faster.

At the network meeting on the 24thth of. May, Novozymes will introduce the background for changing approach, as well as share parts of the actual content together with learnings for the implementation and participant experiences.

The so-called digital revolution is characterized by a restless digitization of companies and the escalation of e-commerce, as the new generation of internet users becomes even more mobile and interactive. But while digitization is so important, how do companies ensure that they are still able to maintain the good old face-to-face learning in management development?

A good example of this is Novozymes, which in 2018 launched a new way of approaching their management development through 'blended learning' - which is a combination of e-learning and face-to-face learning. The approach enables Novozymes to deliver globally accessible and scalable development for both new and experienced managers. This happens digitally via an app, where the managers go through a mixture of activities in different learning formats (blended learning). Each manager goes through a personal learning path over several months in the form of a mix of "bite-sized" digital job tasks, social learning and face-to-face training.

The purpose of this learning method is to ensure that all managers in Novozymes develop the management skills necessary to live up to the Novozymes values. At the same time, it drives employee engagement and performance in daily life. This new initiative is also designed to support new leaders in the organization to transition into their roles and become successful leaders.
