Cross-cutting knowledge sharing is not just more talk and more meetings
Effective knowledge sharing creates more results – faster. But for many organizations, doing so effectively can be difficult. How do we avoid drowning ourselves in meetings and ineffective talk and get the most out of knowledge sharing?
In many places in Danish organisations, there is a need to work more practically with knowledge sharing and upgrade what already takes place in daily life, so that it becomes much more value-creating.
Studies show that knowledge networks naturally break down silos, mental barriers, provide a greater overall understanding of the business and support the spread of best practice. But successful networks don't happen by themselves.
Therefore, at this network meeting, we will have a focus on investigating how knowledge sharing can be made more efficient - and thus avoid making a lot of expensive and time-consuming mistakes.
What can we learn from the world of sport?
Knowledge sharing in Team Denmark
Team Denmark works to optimize the framework and conditions for Denmark's best athletes.
But in order to optimize these frameworks and conditions, the sharing of knowledge is essential for success. Team Denmark works with many different professional groups, and they have therefore had a great focus on, at optimize knowledge sharing between them.Over the past 6 years, they have worked with many differencestake initiatives to create a culture where knowledge sharing is part of everyday life.
Some of the initiatives they have worked with are:
- Network for sports managers: To ensure good knowledge sharing, Team Denmark has created network groups for their sports managers and national coaches. This has helped to create an understanding of each other's areas, but also to identify which areas can use each other's expertise.
- Knowledge sharing for the experts: Team Denmark sets certain requirements for its experts in relation to knowledge sharing. Here they focus on 3 areas: 1. the expert's own knowledge 2. knowledge sharing across the organization 3. dissemination of knowledge to the federations (sports managers, coaches and athletes).
At this network meeting, Team Denmark will talk about why it is so important to share knowledge, as well as what results this can lead to.
Come and be inspired regarding possible methods of using knowledge sharing across disciplines.

Susie Lynge, who is director of Netværks Akademiet and has trained over 15.000 employees and managers in strategic networking and knowledge sharing, will contribute to the meeting with perspectives such as:
- Why knowledge sharing is crucial for the organization's bottom line and colleagues' job satisfaction
- How you break down silos by sharing knowledge across the organization
- How you share knowledge with each other in a completely low-practical way in everyday life
- Why the solution to better knowledge sharing is NOT to hold more meetings (we already have enough of them...).
