Cranet Conference 2018 

The theme at Cranet 2018 is: "What is HR's role in digital development?"

We will soon all know the stories of Kodak's rise and fall, Uber's and Airbnb's disruptive business models, as well as IBM's Watson and Amazon's acquisition of the supermarket chain Whole Foods Market. Exciting and terrifying at the same time with new business models, technological leaps and thus a labor market and millions of working lives in disarray. 

But what are we to do about it? Where does that leave HR and what is HR's role in this context? 

The Cranet Conference 2018 goes beyond the iconic stories and focuses on how the development affects Danish companies and public institutions in general, and what HR can do here. Where can HR play a constructive and developing role, partly in relation to translating the big megatrends into concrete challenges, partly in relation to understanding the societal implications in a labor market context (e.g. the influence of the Danish model) and finally in your own organization with a view to on rethinking the known HR cycle

Cranet conference 2016

The theme at Cranet in 2016 was: "When performance management does not deliver the goods - how can HRM contribute to organizational value creation?" Many companies are currently discussing Performance Management and how we can best design the PM systems of the future - and whether we should have systems at all? On the day we had, among other things, the pleasure of:

  Read the review of the Cranet conference 2015 here 2014 Cranet HRM Conference 9 September 2014 This year's conference was about "Trust versus Control" - a managerial dilemma we are all familiar with. The dilemma was debated from both a research and practical angle with Danish and foreign speakers from CBS as well as private and public organisations. We heard among others Patty McCord, former Chief Talent Officer at Netflix, who founded the HRM strategy in one of the most successful media companies of recent times.

In 2014, the results of the international Cranet survey of HRM in practice were also presented!
