The Road to Skills-Based Organizations (Online)

Skills - NOCA

In an ideal world all organizations would be able to predict the skills they needed to deliver on the business strategy, and based on this perfect prediction, plan how to mitigate skills gaps via development plans, talent pools, and focused recruitment strategies. This might seem like an idyllic – and maybe even an impossible – undertaking for many, however in today's organizations it is very possible.

The question is what does this transformation towards skills-based organizations actually entail? What are the consequences and prerequisites and where do we start?

Understanding the road to skills-based organizations

Making the move from jobs to skills affects how you approach workforce planning, reskilling/upskilling, performance management, your internal talent marketplace, succession planning, pay, and talent acquisition. At this event we have invited Mercer to present their take on the implication of working skills-based.

At the event we will look into:

  • The global talent trends, including “work without jobs”
  • How to build your skills data
  • Strategic workforce planning and work design
  • Talent marketplaces
  • Skills and rewards
