Artificial Intelligence – threat or opportunity?
How can we take advantage of AI and still prepare for the challenges that come with it?
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is storming forward in all areas and is also seen as a clear trend for HR in 2019. We can talk to our computer, our cars drive by themselves and in our workplaces more tasks are still being taken over by machines. But it's not about the fear that AI will take over our jobs, but rather the fear of not knowing how we can effectively use the technology.
At this meeting, you will get inspiration for how AI can help create revolutionary change for both citizens and companies. We take a closer look at what we can actually use artificial intelligence for and where it will create change and value.
At the meeting, we will start from AI as a growing trend and how it has developed over time. We will also look at how we as HR professionals can prepare ourselves for the challenges that come with using AI tools.
Today's presentation:
Come along to this network meeting, where you will be presented with a relevant business case from Novo Nordisk and hear a presentation by digital strategist Peter Svarre and AI ethicist Sune Hannibal Holm.
Peter has 20 years of experience in the field and works to inspire companies to initiate their digital transformation process and prepare for the digital age. He is also current with the book on artificial intelligence: "What are we going to do with people?”, in which he engrossingly discusses the ethical dilemmas that can be seen as a result of technology developing. From here he equips the reader to understand how artificial intelligence works in general.
AI is not as complicated as many people think, and everyone can participate in this important discussion about our future!

NB: It will be possible to buy the book in connection with the event.
Ethical issues in the use of AI
AI is booming and giving organizations and companies a lot of new opportunities, but also completely new ethical issues. Eg. most have been shocked by the way AI has been used to manipulate political elections. Sune Hannibal Holm is an associate professor at the University of Copenhagen and works at the SCIENCE AI Centre. Here he focuses on the ethical issues that arise with the increased use of AI, and how we as individuals and society must deal with this.
Case company: Novo Nordisk
Novo Nordisk will contribute with a relevant business case regarding their implementation of an AI project for handling employee absence and illness in production. What is special about this particular project with Artificial Intelligence is that Novo Nordisk consciously focuses on implementing an AI project with great impact, short development time and low costs; i.e. a Lean AI project. On the day, the case will be presented by Kristine Bøgh, VP HRIT, and Jacob Jeppesen, Head of People Analytics and Reporting.
