At this Executive HR meeting we will be joined by Ravin Jesuthasan who is a co-author the book “Reinventing jobs” (see more underneath). The meeting will be interactive: you will have time to ask questions as well as reflect and discuss throughout all the session. There will be a group exercise, where you will have time to discuss the following questions:
- What are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with implementing some of these ideas and practices?
- Where do you see opportunities in your HR Roadmap where you could make a change to start to build in some of these?
The purpose of this exercise is to get closer to your own work environment, so that you can get some tools that you can work with in your own organization.
We’re delighted to announce that Ravin Jesuthasan will join us at this Executive HR meeting.
Ravin will talk about his book “Reinventing Jobs”. The Book explores our vision of what the future of work will really look like, and how it will impact organizations as they seek growth and success in an era of change and digital transformation. More importantly, it reveals how leaders can guide this change within their own organizations.
Ravin Jesuthasan will argue that automation calls for a reexamination of what a “job” actually is: how it is structured, how it should be reconfigured, how it should be managed, and how it can be optimized. Going beyond the questions of how and to what extent automation will replace traditional jobs, Jesuthasan and Boudreau present a four-step workautomation framework — deconstruct, optimize, automate, and reconfigure—by which leaders can proactively “rebundle” work in their organizations.
